If you participate in a group online event with Av Neryah through interactive online platforms such as Skype, Zoom, etc., please note that your video image and audio/voice may be recorded, broadcast, and shared with a broader audience for the purpose of disseminating spiritual teachings to the wider public. This only occurs in online group events and not in one-on-one mentorship sessions.

If you enroll in one of our online courses, you may receive course-related updates or essential service emails.

By participating in one of our courses, you agree that any comments, reflections, or feedback you post within the course platform (including under videos, in discussions, or through course-related surveys or forms) may be used, anonymously, or with your first name and last initial (e.g. John D.) and for testimonials, promotional materials, or marketing content related to this course or future offerings.

We may collect personal data to ensure that we can provide you with specific services related to the following:

9.1 Event attendees

This applies to anyone attending one of our retreats or events, whether in person or online.

a) In-person retreats and events

b) Online retreats and events

When you attend one of our online events, we may collect and store:

  1. Name, gender (if provided) and contact information
  2. Demographic information such as postcode or country
  3. Information relating to the event organization, such as membership or subscription details if applicable
  4. Communications with you about the event you’re attending
  5. Information about any purchases or pre-orders you make during or in connection with the event (for example, recordings)
  6. Your photograph or image where you appear in event recordings or screenshots
  7. Billing and transaction information (for example invoices and payment confirmations)

c) How we store and use this information

We store attendee information in our website/content management system, which uses secure servers, and in cloud services such as Google Workspace or OneDrive, for documents and email relating to our events and participants. Access to this information is limited to those working with Av Neryah who need it for the purpose of organizing or hosting the event.

Paper copies of attendee lists or room allocations may be used by event organizers while an in-person event is running. These are destroyed once they are no longer needed.

Any information you disclose to us about your health or vulnerabilities is collected with your consent, stored in confidence, and used only to support your safe participation in the event.

We record many of our events so that recordings can be made available to attendees and, in some cases, a wider audience. We may also take photographs at events for use in our website, newsletters, and social media, or in the creation of further offerings (for example, online courses, collections, or promotions including those in collaboration with partner organizations).

You will be informed at the point of booking if an event is being recorded and how the material may be used. If you prefer not to appear in recordings or photos, please let the organizer know so that we can discuss how best to accommodate you (for example, camera off online, particular seating in a room, or use of an alternate display name).

d) How long we keep this information

We retain information about your attendance at our events for the duration of our relationship with you and for up to 10 years afterwards. We retain financial records (including information necessary for accounting and tax purposes) for 6 years following the end of the relevant financial year, as required by law.

9.2 Inquiries

When you contact us with an inquiry about our events or services (before making any booking), we may collect:

  • Any information you choose to provide in your inquiry
  • Communications with you relating to your inquiry

We store inquiry information in our website/content management system and in our email and document systems (such as Google Workspace or OneDrive), which we use to manage communications with prospective, current and past attendees.

We retain inquiry information for up to 10 years.

9.3 Event organizers inviting Av Neryah to speak

If you invite Av Neryah to speak at an event you are organizing, we may collect:

  • Your name and contact information
  • Information about the event you are organizing (for example, dates, venue, format, expected audience)
  • Communications with you relating to the invitation and the organization of the event, if the invitation is accepted

We use cloud-based tools such as Google Workspace to manage our business, so your information may be stored on secure servers in the UK, Europe and/or the USA. This means your personal data may be transferred outside the UK and EEA, with appropriate safeguards in place as required by law.

We retain your personal details for as long as the invitation and/or organization of the event is ongoing, and for up to 10 years after the event has taken place.

9.4 Scholarship / supported ticket applicants

If you apply for a scholarship place or supported ticket for our retreats or online events, we may collect and store:

  1. Your name and contact information
  2. Demographic information such as postcode or country
  3. Information you provide about your financial circumstances and any other factors relevant to your request for support
  4. Information about the event you wish to attend, and notes of any previous retreats or events you have attended with us
  5. Communications with you about your scholarship or support application
  6. Our decision to award a scholarship/supported ticket or not

We use tools such as Google Workspace and OneDrive to manage this process and your information is stored within those systems. Servers used by these providers are located in Europe and/or the USA, so your personal data may be transferred outside the UK and EEA, with appropriate safeguards in place.

Access to scholarship and support application information is limited to those who need to see it in order to review applications and administer supported tickets.

We retain personal data relating to the application process and any successful award of a scholarship/supported ticket for 6 years after the end of the current financial year, in line with accounting requirements. We may keep limited information about completed scholarship or support grants for up to 10 years in order to identify multiple applications over time and to ensure fairness.
